 Wasn't what I thoughtMar 11, 2010
I thought what I got would look like the picture. What I got was completely different. It was a few bottles of liquid primary colors. I did not find that it changed the taste of the icing. My son is allergic to food dyes and was really looking forward to this product. Probable would not order this again from this company because of false description not product it's self.

I think that this is not a bad product if you accept the fact that the colors you get will be different from ones that you can get with synthetic dyes. Yes, the yellow is made from tumeric and it does taste a little funky but that can be somewhat masked by increasing the flavoring in the frosting more vanilla or lemon and also by not using too much of the coloring. The blue and the red colors are almost flavorless and the red coloring is the best 'natural' red I have found. So a good product if you adjust your expectations of what frosting should look like personally I prefer to do that than give my kids treats colored with food dyes derived from coal tar.

 Tastes horrible!May 24, 2008
I bought these dyes for my 2 year old son's birthday cake.
The frosting tasted horrible!! After I looked at the ingredients I realized the yellow dye is made from tumeric extract and the blue from red cabbage. I'm all for healthy foods but a tumeric-cabbage frosting just wasn't good.
